Lauren has been seen in numerous National tours, Off Broadway and Regional productions, readings and workshops. Favorite credits include creating the role of Rachel in To Paint the Earth (Southwark Playhouse, 37 Arts/NYMF), Godspell (Nat'l tour, cast recording), Footloose (Rusty, Nat'l tour), Fiddler on the Roof (Tzeitel, Casa Mañana), Hair (Jeanne, Arizona Theatre Company), Title of Show (ATC) and Wallenberg (Rosa, Broadway lab/New World stages/NYMF, White Plains Performing Arts Center), Yeast Nation (La Mama). Lauren toured with the USO, entertaining our troops and veterans with performances on army, marine and submarine bases, naval ships, at Bob Hope's 100th birthday, on NBC's “Today Show,” and the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. As a producer, Lauren’s credits include the NYMF production and finale video (and several other readings and concerts) of To Paint the Earth, the Time Out acclaimed “Where’s Darfur?” at the Knitting Factory and the sold out show “Secondary Characters Defying Gravity” at Flute. The granddaughter of Holocaust survivors, Lauren has spent countless hours researching her family’s experiences interviewing survivors, studying the Holocaust, and volunteering with several Holocaust organizations including Allgenerations, Self Help, UJA and the Museum of Jewish Heritage. She is currently working on her new piece, “Mr Weinert’s Sixth Grade Assignment” about the life of her grandparents and the effect of the Holocaust on her family’s life.
